The Digital Space Lab is based on a research project concerned with the spatial analysis of online networks at the University of Münster in 2010. Harald Meier developed an innovative methodology which has been tested in a quantitative study with 367 international NGOs. Very interesting results and a wide range of applications eventually led to the establishment of the Digital Space Lab to further professionalize this approach in 2011.

The Project

Our work is divided into two main areas: The first major field of work is the development of the research methodology and the programming of an appropriate research software. The second major field of work includes the production of individually tailored network analyses in the light of different discourses on globalization.
